Now that the writing is on the wall for Obamacare, Obama’s base continues to break ranks.  The latest in a growing line of defectors, as reported by Freedomworks, is the National Treasury Union, a 150,000 strong federal government union that includes the IRS.  This is the very same IRS which was caught intimidating tea party groups and that has been entrusted with the duty to police the ACA, a worrisome prospect to millions of Americans who may not hold the same political views as the bureaucrats newly in charge of their health care.

It all started when Representative Dave Camp (R-Mich.), introduced HR 1780 in April which the Washington Posts reports would require all federal workers, except active duty military and postal workers, to receive their health care benefits through the Obamacare exchanges.  Camp’s spokeswoman explains that if the exchanges are good enough for the American people, they are good enough for federal employees.  It is hard to disagree with that notion, especially when it comes to the federal employees that will be administering Obamacare.

But, the National Treasury Union has a different view and they are speaking out.  The union has set up a website where members can lodge their opinion with an email contact form that will go directly to the appropriate member of Congress.  The suggested email text states, “HR 1780 would put federal employees in a special class where they would be prohibited from receiving health insurance through their employer.  It would treat federal employees differently from state and local government employees and most employees of large private sector companies who receive health insurance benefits through their employer.”

What the NTU doesn’t understand is that Obamacare will make sure every American is part of that “special class” which can’t keep the health care they appreciate.  So NTU, welcome to the club and keep speaking out.  With your support, we hope to defeat Obamacare.
