With 1=best and 50=worst, Ohio ranks:

We repeat our assertion that Ohio politicians would do better working on ways to make Ohio’s economy more prosperous and competitive rather than pushing counterproductive crony policies like Medicaid/Obamacare expansion.

Ohio needs items such as:

  • Right-to-work (workplace freedom – give workers the freedom to decide whether or not to join a union rather than being forced to join).
  • Pension reform (instituting defined contribution versus defined benefit plans for public sector employees going forward).
  • Tax reform (stop levy-fatigue by eliminating off general election tax votes, require a vote of the people to raise any tax, require a 60% affirmative vote for the tax to pass).
  • Legal reform (institute a loser pays law to cut down on frivolous lawsuits).

Where is the leadership on such issues in Ohio?  Republicans now control the Governor’s office, the state House of Representatives and the state Senate. Yet what have they really accomplished?

It is time for new leadership to step forward in our state.
