The folks at Toledo Tea Party have been hard at work to supply us with two new tools for retrieving Voter Registration information.

Toledo Tea Party Chairman John McAvoy says:

“There are over 7.6 million registered voters in Ohio. We’ve uploaded the entire Ohio voter registration database to our web servers, and have created numerous powerful search tools that allow our members to perform very in depth and detailed searches from this database and other priority databases that we’ve developed.”

Mr McAvoy goes on to say:

“However, we receive a lot of requests for two basic searches, so we’ve decided to make them available to the public for anyone to use.  If you find these useful, we ask you to make a small donation to help us continue to host this data on our servers.”

The two searches are:

1) Voter Name Lookup   (CLICK HERE)

Start by selecting the county you’re interested in.

Type in a last name, the spelling must be correct for the last name.   Click the SUBMIT button.

To narrow the search, start typing in a first name, partial spelling will return all names that contain that spelling.  i.e. if you enter “J” as the first name,  all first names that begin with “J” are returned.   Click the SUBMIT button.

IMPORTANT – The search will only return the first 50 entries it finds,  so you may need to refine your search by providing a full first name.

2) Voter Address Lookup  (CLICK HERE)

Start by selecting the county you’re interested in.

Type in a street name. It will search for any street that has that name in it.   Click the SUBMIT button.

To narrow the search, start typing in an address number, partial numbers will return all addresses that contain that number.  i.e.  if you enter “23” as the address number,  all addresses that contain “23” will return. i.e. 223, 9237,   2301,  4223,  etc, etc..   Click the SUBMIT button.

IMPORTANT – The search will only return the first 50 entries it finds,  so you may need to refine your search by providing a more accurate street name and/or street address.

How accurate is the data?

The Ohio Secretary of State updates their voter records every few days, usually when they receive updates from the individual counties.  However, because of the size of the database and the time it takes to download it from the Sec of State, fix errors, then upload it to the servers,  the Toledo Tea Party data is updated 2 or 3 times a year. These updates usually occur after the primary and general elections when all new registrations and corrections have been made by the individual counties.  The last update to the Toledo Tea Party data was performed on April 26th, 2016.
