As if the federal government forcing citizens to buy health care is not insulting enough, images-1we now must watch the President politicize the Christmas holiday in order to turn around his failed launch of Obamacare.

The Obama administration is urging citizens to talk to their family members during holiday get-togethers about obtaining health insurance on the Obamacare exchanges.

An Organizing for Action website post states,

“This holiday season, millions of Americans have a chance to get quality, affordable health insurance – many for the first time.  If you have family members who are uninsured, you can play a big part in helping them find coverage that works for them.  It might not always seem like it, but family listens to you.  So have the talk.”

Is this a Saturday Night Life skit or is it an infomercial on STD’s?  No, its Barack Obama’s very own Organizing for Action’s holiday message to you.

The web post provides a four step process to accomplish your “talk” complete with holiday-themed graphics.  You are even asked to “make a pledge” to have your “talk” with your family.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius seems to like the Christmas-themed approach as well.  Fox News reports Sebelius has written a blog post letting Americans know Healthcare.gov is a great place to shop this Christmas.  (Go to the 7:07 mark in the video).

Sebelius writes,

“The product is popular so avoid the lines and shop Healthcare.gov during off-peak hours (mornings/night/wknds).”

It looks like Healthcare.gov is off-peak most of the time.

“Have your income and tax information ready when you log on.  There are 23 shopping days in December (for coverage starting January 1, 2014).  No need to rush.”

Never mind the site is a veritable candyland for hackers looking to steal the identities of Americans required by law to use the website to purchase their health insurance.

Evidently, the Obama administration has no respect for the significance of Christmas and the importance Americans place on the time they spend with family during the holiday season.

Instead of families exchanging gifts and singing Christmas carols and children falling to sleep dreaming of Santa Claus and sugar-plums, the Obama administration wants you to talk of individual mandates, health premiums and insurance exchanges.  There’s no time for religion or family in Obama’s utopia.  It’s big government 24/7.

But big government is not working and the numbers tell the story.  Forbes reports only 26,794 have enrolled on Healthcare.gov and only 79,391 have enrolled on the state exchanges for a whopping 100,000 total enrollees for Obamacare.  Contrast that paltry number with the approximately 5,000,000 cancellation notices sent to date and the 50-100 million cancellations expected next fall, and you have a major health care catastrophe in the making.

To borrow a line from a famous Christmas poem,

And I heard him exclaim ere he drove out of sight, “There’ll be health care for a few and cancellations for all!”
